Subject : MOM_KEY’s Monthly Meeting April 2012
· KEY’s monthly meeting started with a prayer by Carrol Noronha.
· The MOM for the KEY monthly March meeting held on 11-Mar-12 was read out by KEY secretary Lester Noronha and passed by KEY.
· President Jason Castelino took up the topic about facebook page updation with all the details from the KEY website. He requested the members to help out wit the updation work in order to get the page up and running asap. Lester Noronha and Carrol Noronha volunteered to help out. It was mentioned that only KEY core committee members would be allowed to adminster this web site in order to control the content being posted and KEY members to comment on the topics.
· The next discussion was around the KEY website expiry which is supposed to happen on 30th April 2012. Various alternatives such as shifting over the KEY website details to the new freely available Microsoft website or going for a paid service were discussed. President Jason Castelino would be raising this issue during the next KCA meeting in order to check if KEY can go for the pay service or it can be uploaded as a sub folder in the KCA website.
· President Jason Castelino retouched upon the RFLI PRO LIFE program to be held from April 27 to 29, 2012 with the program held on April 29, 2012 being especially for youth. A scanned version of the details about this program would be sent out to all KEY members soon.
· With the upcoming Sports meet in mind, the members discussed about the availability of the seminary ground for cricket practise and the formalities to get the required permissions. Also under dicussion were the various sports gear required for the practise.
· One of the KEY planned activities was the one day program to be held on 4 topics helpful to the youth . The topics for this program would be finalised soon and also the facebook page needs to be ready to conduct the poll. The poll results should be ready before the June meeting of K.E.Y. and as per the request of KCA, this program will be conducted after the KCA AGM to be held in the second week of June 2012.
· The KEY facebook page would be updated w.r.t. the KEY web site and an initial trial would be conducted amongst the KEY committee members before publishing the facebook page to all KEY members.
· There were various suggestions given by members to hold competitions for kids such as speech or drawing competitions organised by KEY. Another suggestion that came in was Ride for a Cause program which would include clothes and essentials distribution program to the homeless and street dwellers during winter which could be held before Christmas.
· In order to encourage the KEY members to take active participation in the various KEY activities, there was a suggestion to award the most active KEY members on a quarterly basis.
· President Jason Castelino mentioned that control of the KEY facebook profile has been handed over to President Jason Castelino and Secretary Lester Noronha by KEY member Loy Alvares.
· President Jason Castelino mentioned that control of the KEY google group has been handed over to President Jason Castelino and Technical Office Bearer Sanjeena Menezes by KEY member Loy Alvares.
· It was discussed that meeting reminder SMS would be sent out only to the KEY core committee members and regular attendees regarding future KEY meetings since there are restrictions (DND list and 15 member limit) and uncertainties (messages not reaching the members) around sending SMS from various SMS websites . All KEY members would be intimated regarding KEY meetings in advance via emails.
· It was suggested to send customised birthday greetings to all KEY members on their respective birthdays.
· It was decided that the next KEY meeting would be held on the second Sunday of May 2012 (13th May 2012).
· The tentative dates for future KEY meetings during the year have been mentioned below. These dates are subject to change based on availability of Konkan Bhavan venue and various KCA/FKCA events to be held on these dates.
