Hello Konflux Community!
It’s been another month of collaboration and progress. It's inspiring to see so much activity and so many of you jumping in to build, discuss, and improve the future of Konflux. Let's dive into some of the highlights!
We've seen a flurry of merged pull requests, showcasing incredible work from our contributors. Here are a few standouts:
Merge Queue Support for CI/CD: A huge thank you to @kelchen123 for adding merge queue support in konflux-ci/cluster-template-charts#31. This is a fantastic feature for improving our CI/CD pipelines and ensuring a stable main branch.
Better, Faster, Stronger Testing: @psturc has been hard at work improving our testing infrastructure by moving e2e tests to use kind clusters in konflux-ci/image-controller#213. This helps make our testing faster and more reliable for everyone.
New GitHub Action for Tektor: Thanks to @scoheb, we now have a dedicated GitHub action for Tektor (konflux-ci/tektor#6), making it easier to integrate Tekton pipeline validation into CI.
Documentation Refresh: The project's overview documentation got a much-needed update from @ralphbean in konflux-ci/architecture#242, making it easier for newcomers to get up to speed with Konflux.
Some important discussions are happening in open pull requests, and your voice is needed!
ADR for GitOps as Primary Interface: A major architectural discussion is underway in konflux-ci/architecture#240 to move towards a unified GitOps-centric approach for Konflux. This is a significant proposal by @brianwcook with a lot of great community feedback already. Please share your thoughts!
Choosing a Backing Broker: We're deciding on a backing broker for Knative Eventing in konflux-ci/architecture#241. Should it be Kafka or RabbitMQ? This is a key decision, and @skoved has laid out the proposal. If you have experience or a strong opinion, please jump into the discussion!
Revisiting the ADR Process: How we make decisions is as important as the decisions themselves. @ralphbean has proposed rebooting the ADR process in konflux-ci/community#33. If you have ideas on how to improve our community governance, this is a great place to contribute.
A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed this week, whether through code, reviews, or discussions. Your engagement is what makes this community thrive - don’t forget to join our community call on Tuesdays at 3PM UTC (11AM ET). Let's keep the momentum going!
