Can some body tell me how to do that ?

and more importantly what features are provided by the shopping cart
functionality of KOnaKart?

Thanks in advance

Hey Paolo

Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes I have checked and installed KOnaKart Application my machine.
Just need to know whether the following features are available :

1)Support for backing up files
2)Calculate Shipping and Handling costs
3)Notify the site owner of the sale

And Most important

Can i fragment out code of Shopping cart from KonaKart and integrate
that code in my current JAVA web application?

What files are you referring to ?

Yes. You can pick from a few shipping modules already available or
develop your own.

Yes. An eMail can be sent. Also their is a hook for every order state
change where you can add your own code for integration or notification
purposes.

Integration is one of our strong points. You have a full set of Java
APIs and SOAP web service APIs for integrating any of the KonaKart
functionality into a current system. We give an example of how to do
this with the Open CMS integration. We also support some portals with
JSR 168 portlet integration.

Thanks again Paolo

I have one more question
Is it possible to use KonaKart without using SOAP?

I have my fully functional website just need to add the shopping card
functionality from KonaKart?

How can I do without using SOAP ?

If you don't want to use SOAP, this means that you need to install the
KonaKart jars within your current webapp so that you can integrate
KonaKart functionality within your JSPs. If you don't want to / can't
do that, another way is to have the shopping cart within an iframe.

OK Paolo

One thing more can you give me some pointers towards "how to integrate
and use Konakat Jars " and "iframes" to use shopping cart
functionality ?

This isn't really the right place for a discussion such as this. What
I suggest is for you to post your questions on the KonaKart forum
( http://www.konakart.com/forum/index.php ) . If you aren't familiar
with terms such as IFrame, my advice would be to seek some technical
help before attempting any integration .
