I feel that it should be changed on the wiki.

Some might think that it is an improvement in kona to allow the explicit monadic form in contexts where it fails in the original k.

Note: there have been myriad improvements to the original k.

Someone looking for the best improvements should examine Shakti.

Kona is an attempt to recreate the original k (in 64 bit, on Linux, on Windows, on MacOS, and on Pixel 6).

FWIW, I went to fix this and I'm not sure what I was seeing earlier.  If I spot examples, I'll be sure to make them in line with k2.8.
