Getting ASCII number

In my workday language (MUMPS/M), if we have a string "E", then applying the function $A to that string will yield the ASCII equivalent (69).

Is there something similar in Kona?

I think you're looking for _ci and _ic

They're in the wiki but somehow the list has become un-alphabetized
