Aloha everyone,

It has been awhile and it has been a busy time. We have been dealing with the CBB infestation and the politics of getting a solution to that issue into our hands, the farmers.

Our first major bloom was late this year, 2/14/11. So that means it is likely that it will be late September or early October before the serious picking begins.

We are getting rains way above last year, to date we 6.45 inches, while last year we had about an inch and a quarter by this time. Normal would be maybe 2.5 inches. So that is looking good for the crop and another major bloom should appear this we, some has already.

At this time it looks likely that we will have a good crop based on the flowering I've seen and the fact that we are already done pruning, 8 days ago.

The new growth has begun and I expect every vertical we have will produce blossoms and cherry.

Mahalo,
