Aloha all,

We harvested 1,000 pounds of cherry yesterday so the harvesting season
is getting into full swing.

All Kona coffee farmers are battling the coffee berry borer (CBB) and
it looks like with the CBB and the drought that the harvest will be
smaller than last year.

Aloha,

It has now been 4 weeks, 28 days, since the CBB was confirmed in the
Kona coffee district.

We still have no solutions being offered from the usda or hdoa.

While our Kona coffee farms are being devoured by the hoards of CBB
the emperors in Honolulu fiddle!!!

Aloha,

It has now been another day, 29, since the CBB and now solutions.

I did learn at a meeting yesterday that the hdoa has asked for
permission to use the BB fungus in Hawaii?

Permission from whom? I thought it was they who had to decide.

Aloha,

The hdoa wants to only import the BB fungus for a study on 5 farms!!!

It was reported Wednesday evening that one farm in South Kona that
picked coffee had a 100% infestation rate of the cherry they
harvested!!!

We don't need a damn study!!!

We need action!!!

Aloha all,

Okay now we're up to 41 days of non-action by the hdoa and usda!!!

Apparently they don't give a damn about the Kona coffee industry!!!
