Aloha everyone,

The ripening of the 2009 crop has accelerated. We picked 800 pounds
last week and are still picking today.

The weather, they tell me is dry and we are under a fire watch! Well,
Sunday morning we got 2.5 inches of rain here in 4 hours. 1.5 inches
of that coming in the first hour. Go figure. That canceled our
participation in the local farmers market, I couldn't even load my
stuff in the truck.

The market for wholesale sales is weak so now is a good time to buy.

We are happy to entertain all offers for parchment, green or roasted
beans.

Mahalo,

Aloha all,

We had gone 10 days without any rain until this evening and now we
have received about .50 inch of rain. Hopefully it will continue
overnight. It has been very dry and the temperature around 90 degrees
everyday.

We have been picking coffee like crazy. Over 2000 pounds so far this
month alone.

I was starting to worry with the lack of rain that it might retard the
growth of the beans and we would lose some. But this 1/2 inch should
solve that issue for a few days anyway.

Picking again tomorrow.

Aloha,

Very dry month. Now we are about 6 inches behind on rainfall for the
year. We got .15 inch yesterday and it looks like we may get some
today but...

We have picked over 5,000 pounds of cherry so far this year. It has
also been very hot this month and with the lack of rainfall it seems
to be accelerating the ripening of the cherry.

Mahalo,
