to KOMA Instructors
Hello Team,

As this new week begins, I have a few announcements to share with you all:

1. As a reminder, all instructors will be training at SOP today (Monday, Nov. 23)! Please, bring your white uniforms.

2. Before training today (Monday, November 23), we will be having a BB presentation for Ms. Olivia Harris & Ms. Ella Richardson. This will take place at 11:50 AM, so I ask that you please arrive at SOP no later than 11:45 AM. Also, in the effort of making this event as special as the official presentation, please wear your navy uniforms. If you cannot make it to SOP by 11:45 AM, please message me directly through either email or Slack. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing you all then!

3. This week launches the first Spirit Week in our Kick Covid campaign. Here are a few details that are important to note:
  • Week 1's Theme: Gratitude
  • Student Activity: Fill out the GratitudeJar.pdf (attached). Students can fill their jar with either words or pictures. They will turn in to the Performance Managers; online students will send a picture of their completed form to
    pete...@thekoma.com.
    • Please remind your students to participate by "filling their jars".
    • In the last 5 minutes of class, please ask your students who turned in their form to the Performance Managers, and allow only the students who participated to share a few of the things they're grateful for.
    • On Wednesday after classes, Ms. Peterson will collect the completed Gratitude Jars and share a few on social over the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • Additionally, students can participate in a special intro class with a friend. They will need to use the following link to register for the intro lesson. Please, remind families that if they refer a friend, they will receive a reward.
Please try to remind families (both in-studio & online) of the different ways they can participate in the Kick COVID Together Campaign. We want to make sure we are focusing on getting those referrals. Please, take a few extra minutes today to review this first week of activities so that you can effectively communicate them during each of your in-studio/online classes this week!

4. Looking ahead to the second week of the Kick Covid Campaign:
  • Week 2's Theme: KC Chief's
  • Student Activity: students may wear their Kansas City Chief's shirt/jersey to class (students are still required to wear uniform pants and belt).
*Please note that for the remaining weeks of this Campaign, your interim Lead Instructors will share the themes and activities with you.*

As you can see, we have quite a bit happening this week. It may seem overwhelming, but I encourage you to reach out to the interim Lead Instructors or myself with any questions or concerns! This is a short week of work, so let's make sure we make the most out of it!

Thank you, and see you soon!

Ms. Long
