You may be aware about the extended ban of cycles & non motorized transport (hand carts, cycle vans etc) in Kolkata, virtually meaning a blanket ban. A group of concerned citizens have launched 'Chakra Satyagraha' against the ban. The movement has the support of Social Activist Medha Patker and Nobel Laureate Venkatraman Ramakrishnan amgst others.

Please join A Creative, Non-violent Protest 'Bring the Wheels Back to the Streets' against the Ban on Cycles and NMT in Kolkata on Gandhi Jayanti. We're expecting over 5,000 people to join us along with Street Theatre Artists and Boul Fakirs in a never before creative representation of the Ban.
