Invitation : Inauguration of Solar Irrigation and Farmer Producer Company

With the support of NABARD Rural Innovation fund - Switch ON InONvation Incubator has taken an initiative to setup a one of its kind solar irrigation pump at Gopalpul Nadia. BRAKKS is the local partner and will provide water on a “pay as you go” model to a network of farmers – by which they will get reliable, safe and clean irrigation facility to improve their livelihood by saving on cultivation costs.

We would be honored to have you at the inauguration event on 20th November, Wednesday at BRAKKS, Gopalpur, Badkulla-Hanskali Road, Nadia (14 Kms East from Krishnanagar). Shri S Padmanabhan, Chief General Manager , NABARD will be the chief guest at the event, along with other dignitaries. Your presence would give us a lot of encouragement.

We will also like to launch the Nadia Farmer Producer Company (FPC) at the event – in your presence. The FPC has stemmed from our initiative taken up along with BRAKKS to improve efficiency in supply chain. This has led to better prices for local farmers by connecting them with markets directly and subsequently also reducing consumer prices for vegetables and fruits. A total of over 500 farmers are already impacted by this initiative, and through the FPC we want to reach to many more.

We look forward to your generous presence and guidance towards both the initiatives and look forward to meet you at the inauguration of solar irrigation and launch of FPC.
