I attended an excellent program in Turkey earlier this year. As Phase 2, we're organizing a Power Shift in India - "Udaan" and I encourage all of you to apply.
It promises to be a great platform for young people to learn, engage, connect and share issues that our critical to our generation - Environment, Sustainability, Equity, Climate Change, etc.

Dear friends,
350 India, along with our partners across the country, is organizing a multi-day training for young campaigners and activists in India. From December 17-21st 2013 in Bengaluru, 150 youth will gather for Udaan and add strength to the growing environmental and social movement in India and around the globe.
Register yourself for Udaan. Deadline is October 15th.
In June this year, 500 youth leaders from around the world came together for Global Power Shift in Istanbul, Turkey. They shared skills and developed strategies to take the global climate movement to a new level. Participants learned various skills on campaigning (online & offline), movement-building, media and communications, and creative activism. Then they went back home to initiate their own power shifts. Udaan is one such power shift for India.
Bringing various experts and experienced campaigners from across the country, we want to share the tools and resources you need to lead the new wave of environmental movement in India. At Udaan, we will learn new and exciting ways of digital campaigning; share stories of movements and social change; discover art as a tool for positive impact; put the power of media to effective use; and much more.

India is currently experiencing a sea change in the way we deal with power (both political and social). Many are turning to the youth to shake the system and become its true leaders. At Udaan we want to facilitate that process and provide the tools and trainings we believe will take us one step closer to our goal. So if you identify yourself as an activist, a campaigner, an organiser, or a concerned citizen, Udaan is for you.
