Hey Quentin,

I remember this problem from my old phone, a HTC Desire. It seems to be an
issue with the HTC Sense way of handling contacts. IIRC, I wasn't able to
properly resolve the problem with Sense which is why I installed CyanogenMod
whose ContactApp was able to display all contacts.

Well I'm using an HTC Desire too, so I guess that's the right answer. I'll get used to completion instead of contacts list until I get myself a new phone then.
