Hi Kriek,

Great going! It's good to know that you got Kojo running on an RPi2. How is the performance? acceptable?

I'm assuming you're running the LXDE desktop environment on the Pi. If so, you can just try installing a new desktop shortcut:
https://www.google.com/search?q=lxde+desktop+shortcut

While creating the shortcut/launcher, you will need to enter the following information:
command: ~/Kojo2/bin/kojo
icon: ~/Kojo2/icons/kojo48.png

Or you can try to edit/update the existing shortcut (right click on the shortcut and see if there is an edit option) with the above information.

Let us know how it goes.

Hello,
My family and I have been playing with the new Raspbian Jessie image, and wanted to let you know that we have successfully installed Kojo on the Raspberry Pi 2!  When we went through the setup, we created the desktop shortcuts.  When the install was done, the shortcuts didn't work, so we used the terminal to start the application.  Do you have any recommendations to fix the desktop shortcuts without having to write a bash script to start it?  I'm a twelve year old boy who loves programming.

Thank you, Kriek Prinsloo.

Hi Kriek,

Good to know that you got this working.

That's also good to know. What's your RPi model (it's a model B, I guess)?. What kind of display/monitor are you using?

Looking forward to that.

Dear Mr.Pant,
Thank you for your feedback.  Using your suggestions, I just got it to work.  I edited the desktop shortcut, and saw the line "Path=".  The error that I saw previously said "Failed to change to directory (No such file or directory)".  After a few minuted of tinkering, I tried filling in the "Path=" value.  I first tried the path to the desktop shortcut (/home/pi/Desktop), and it showed the same error.  After that I tried the path to the executable script (/home/pi/Kojo2/bin), and set the line "Terminal=" to "Terminal=true"(just a preference, really.  I like seeing what's happening as it starts up!), and it worked.

The performance seems fine, the animations run smoothly, I will keep you updated as we explore it further on the Raspberry Pi 2.

Thank you very much for your help Mr.Pant!

What's your RPi2 model (it's a model B, I guess)? How long does Kojo take to start up? And what kind of display/monitor are you using?
