Dear Language Translators,

Please take a look at the history of Bundle.properties for new strings that need localization:
https://github.com/litan/kojo/commits/master/src/main/resources/net/kogics/kojo/lite/Bundle.properties

For quick reference, here are the strings (since my last request) that need translation:

# if you want to customise how (external process) execs are done for your language
S_ExecPragma=exec

# A tool to make a boundary polygon around a sprite (for collision detection etc)
S_SpriteBoundaryPolygon=Sprite Boundary Maker

Also, a quick update to provide some context:
A fair amount of action has been happening on the kojo-gaming[1] and kojo-ai [2] subprojects. These topics (Gaming and AI via Kojo) are a part of the government curriculum in the state of Goa, and we have been working on refining the technology and the learning material to support these courses more effectively.

The above translation strings are related to the kojo-gaming effort.

Thanks and Regards,
- Lalit

Hi Lalit, how are you?

For the translation:
S_ExecPragma=execute

For “Sprite Boundary Maker” maybe I would use the word “editor” which is known
anyway and leave "Sprite" which in the “game” creation scope makes sense even
for Italians.
Boundary would be “perimetro” but also “limite” or "area" in this case if the
editor is used to bound the sprite.
Maybe “Sprite area”.
OK, so it would also be in line with the variable name.
 S_SpriteBoundaryPolygon=Sprite Area or S_SpriteBoundaryPolygon=Editor dell'area
dello Sprite (too long? :) )

ciao, Massimo.

Hi Massimo, I'm chugging along ;). You?

This looks (and sounds) good:
S_SpriteBoundaryPolygon=Editor dell'area dello Sprite

> if the editor is used to bound the sprite.
It is. You click around the boundary (that you want) for a sprite in an image (and you see the current boundary as you draw it). And then when you click twice, the boundary is closed and an array of vertices for the boundary is printed out in the output pane, which you can copy/paste into your code.

Warm regards,
- Lalit

Here is a translation of Sprite Boundary Maker

S_SpriteBoundaryPolygon=Avgränsa sprite (rutnät av pixlar)

If the item gets to large then you can skip the paren explaining of sprite (grid of pixels)

So in my translation "Avgränsa" is a verb that means something similar to "set (a/the) boundary" but if you want to go with explicit stuff like "Edit sprite boundary" then I would in Swedish say "Editera sprite-avgränsning". It dependes on if the sprite editor is a thing that should have a concept of its own?

Best,

Hi Bjorn,

This sounds good:
S_SpriteBoundaryPolygon=Editera sprite-avgränsning
(the alternative is good, too, but I think the noun version works better in the Tools menu)

And I think I will also change the English version to:
S_SpriteBoundaryPolygon=Sprite Boundary Editor
...to align with the Italian and Swedish versions.

Warm regards,
- Lalit
