Does the Live CD have Crons Setup?

Does the Live CD have crons set up for re-indexing Zebra and all the
other "housekeeping" jobs that need to be done. Looking at the koha-
community.org website it appears that many of the load instructions do
not include these and you have to set them up yourself.

The Live CD uses the daemon approach, and therefore does not need the crons for zebra reindexing. In fact, R6 and earlier had both the daemons and the crons and this occasionally caused the indexing to hang.
The latest version has some other cron jobs enabled as well but many of these are task-specific and do not have to be enabled in all installations.

What is the daemon approach? Can you explain? Actually I have enabled cronjobs for zebra indexing but sometimes it stops searching. It is possible that I have enabled both approaches, daemon and cron.. How can I check this to avoid indexing hang up?
