Authority Records indexing

My wife has added some authority records and has attached them to
bibliographic records but they aren't immediately showing up in
searches. Should they immediately show up or is this something that
is re-indexed at specified times? We checked the manual and made sure
the "automatically update attached biblios when changing an authority
record" is set to "Do". That is the only field I saw about updating
or indexing authority records. If they should be showing up
immediately then we're probably doing something wrong?? We've decided
to wait 24 hours to see if they are somehow automatically indexed by
they system. Any advice or info would be appreciated.

They should be automatically updated almost immediately, but there may be specific conditions why this is not happening. I'm not intimately knowledgeable in this area so you may try asking this in the Koha community mailing list.

I really only know well in the installation and deployment part (which is what makes up the CD). When you start actually using it, people in the community mailing list can help you better.
