what is the official repository to follow now? 

the incubator one or the old from the gitlab kiegroup?

in the kogito home page it says we have new release "999-20240225"!

what is this? 

What is the latest kogito release? 1.43 or 1.47?

it's a bit confusing, so thank you for sharing some lights

If there is an Apache incubator repository for what you are looking at, then that is the latest. Most of the repositories have moved.

All kogito repositories moved to Apache Foundation with Drools and Optaplanner repositories too.

Kie Group organization on Github  forked them back to keep some existent CI checks until everything is stabilized on Apache KIE Community side. They are synchronized with APACHE KIE Community repositories into apache-main branches and therefore you can see same things on kiegroup org repositories like tags.

Kogito Website is automaticallly updated by any change on github repository so you can see there new tags as latest release, but that tag version 999-timestamp are just temporary versions  from pipeline nightlies so it is not a real released version.

Look for https://kie.apache.org/ there will be more updates when the Kogito website will migrate to Apache only namespace.

I found a discrepancy between the repositories.

the examples on kie project seems to be more recently updated, while the ones on the incubator looks older
