Is there any way to copy and paste the values in a .xls/.xlsx table into a DMN Decision Table? I've read the documentation for adding .xls/.xlsx rules tables to a project, but I was looking for something a bit simpler and don't need the external data source in the project.

Thanks!

We’re working on this capability, keep an eye on dmn.new that’s probably the first place we’ll surface it.

Hi Nathan,

you might be interested to try out the XLS converter to DMN,

In the readme you will also find several examples of XLS converted to DMN.

If you have feedback don't hesitate to share, both on the conventions the spreadsheet uses, and on the converted DMN result.
We have released that utility based on previous community feedback, and I'm very interested to hear new comments/feedback to drive it further as needed.

Additional capabilities will/may rely on similar concepts and conventions, so don't hesitate to share your experience using it.

Hope this helps!

Hi again,
I forgot, and I should have better also mentioned, if by chance you are also a jBang user, we are offering a jBang script for it as well: https://github.com/kiegroup/jbang-catalog#converter-for-excel-xlsxlsx-files-containing-dmn-decision-tables
