Hey everyone, has anyone faced the issue of a contact database from Google Maps quickly becoming outdated? I recently noticed that several clients we regularly contact have already moved or closed their businesses, even though they’re still listed as active in our database. I used to check each contact manually, but that turned out to be incredibly time-consuming, especially when dealing with hundreds of records. I’d like to find a way to know whether the information is still current without constant manual checking. How do you usually handle this problem?

Oh, I faced the same situation. I had a large client base, and every month I spent hours checking addresses and phone numbers. I recently tried using a special tool for scraping Google Maps listings, and it really made life easier. It helps to collect current data directly from Google Maps and automatically update records. I liked that you can configure which fields will be checked, and thus the database always remains fresh. By the way, I now have an automatic check of all key clients once a month, and I update small contacts once a quarter - the time savings are huge.

I’ve never worked with client lists on this scale before, so for me it’s almost like a whole different universe. Sometimes I see companies trying to keep everything in Excel or Google Sheets, and I can imagine how much effort it takes to keep it all up to date. It must be great to have some kind of automation process so you don’t lose contact with people, but at the same time don’t turn the work into constant manual data updates.
