Our Council will once again be hosting Kitchen Food Safety training by Chef Donna Sagan-Hortz of Alchemy Kitchens on Saturday, May 30th, in the Parish Center and Kitchen beginning at 9:30 AM. This training and certification will be open to all Council and Ladies Auxiliary Members. If you are planning to volunteer and help in the Parish Center Kitchen or on our portable food service station and will be handling food of any kind in the future, you are encouraged to take this 90 – minute class and be certified and recognized as an approved food handler. This training class will end at approximately 11:30 AM, followed by a light snack and fellowship. In June and July, 2023, we had 32 members receive their Food Safe Certifications but now these certifications will be expiring at the end of June 2026. Our Council will be paying for the ServSafe Food Handler certification of $25.00 per person for new members attending and $15.00 per person for your recertification so this class and certification will be free to you if interested. Please find attached a sign-up sheet for your consideration. As I have been asked to provide a list of all attending, the final day for registering for this class will be Saturday, May 2nd.
