Kochgawan is a village in the Block of Waris Aliganj of Nawada
district in the state of Bihar.
In 1845 Nawada (Nau-Abad ie. new habitat) became a sub-division of
Gaya district. During the mutiny, Nawada was overrun by marauding
parties. Local sub-division offices were destroyed. However the
government records were saved by the native officials who hid them in
a cave of a neighbouring hill.These are the only public records dating
beyond 1857 which still exist in the district.Therefore we may hope to
find the mention of Kochgave ambastha family members.Hope someone
will soon find out the details.
