Please check with Chrome - there seems to be a current issue with Java when using Firefox. It appears to be independent of KoBoToolbox but we are looking into this.

Wazamo,
As Patrick mentioned, Firefox recently made a change that causes problems with file save. We are recommend ing that  users switch to working in Chrome, at least for the time being.

Hi all,
when I launch the off-line Kobo version, it automatically launches in Mozilla. How can I make it open in Chrome?

Wazamo,

This is happening when you try and save your file? From Main Menu>>Save to File?
Can you send me your XML survey by using Main Menu>>View Form Text>>  then copy and paste the XML into a notepad doc and save it.

Neil,

Thank you for the support, I think it was a problem with my version of java (7 update 17), I updated today to update 21 and the failures stopped, it had been quite frustrating  I will see over the week if I have any challenges, but with update 21 i have been able to save a new form I am starting in both Chrome and Firefox.

Best wishes

George

that`s good to hear, Wazamo. I`ll make a note in case any other users have the same issue.
