New to Kobo Arc

Hi,
I've just bought the Kobo Arc7 - yes I know it is a superseded model but the main function for me is as an e-reader - replacing my Sony e-reader that died. Don't know if I have the right group because the posts I have looked at are well over my head. I'm looking for assistance in using it. Especially to access books from the library. Please, could anyone direct me to a  non-geek, user friendly rundown of the functions and how to access them. We have wifi at home and android phones that enable internet access when not. Being able to use the Kobo as a tablet would be a bonus but I don't understand exactly what to expect of a tablet.

Unfortunately this user list is related to a mobile data collection software not the e-reader.
