WE'RE HAPPY TO WELCOME DELLA MAE BACK TO STRAWBERRY MUSIC FESTIVAL
Della Mae - Live@Levitt

Since forming in Boston in 2009, Nashville-based string band Della Mae has established a reputation as a charismatic live act comprised of some of the finest players in bluegrass, Americana and beyond. Versatile instrumentalists and vocalists, they draw from a bottomless well of roots influences to create vibrant original music. They were IBMA’s Emerging Artists of the Year in 2013, GRAMMY Nominees in 2014 for their debut album on Rounder Records, named among Rolling Stone’s “10 bands to watch for in 2015,” and have since traveled with the US State Department to over 18 countries spreading peace and understanding through music. They’ll be returning to Strawberry on the heels of the upcoming release of their brand new ep, “The Butcher Shoppe”, on March 1st, available for pre-order now on their website. We can’t wait to hear Della Mae’s new album and then see them perform live at the Spring 2019 Strawberry Music Festival, on Sunday, May 26th, at the Nevada Fairgrounds, in Grass Valley, CA!

PLEASE WELCOME SUGARCANE JANE TO STRAWBERRY LINEUP
Sugarcane Jane - Heartbreak Road

Each in this dynamic duo is a virtuosic talent in his, and her, own right and together, as Sugarcane Jane, they have a sound that is the perfect mix of soul quenching cool and heartwarming heat. Anthony Crawford (vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica), has enjoyed a long career in the music business, as both a sought after recording and performing artist for numerous nationally renowned acts, as well as owner of Admiral Bean Studio in Loxley, Alabama. He met his wife, and musical partner in Sugarcane Jane, Savana Lee (vocals, ukulele bass), while laying down tracks at her vintage analog recording studio in Nashville, TN. The music, as well as family and a budding romance led them back home to the Gulf Coast, where they have amassed a loyal following of fans. Wherever they go, Sugarcane Jane is adored for their homegrown brand of mostly acoustic Americana, drawing influences from gospel, country, folk, rock, and roots genres. Whatever the temperature, Sugarcane Jane is just right for the Strawberry climate. We can’t wait to see you there, on the first day of the Spring 2019 Strawberry Music Festival!

CRYING UNCLE BLUEGRASS BAND JOINS THE SPRING STRAWBERRY LINEUP
Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band - Final Round 2018 Pickin' in the Pines Festival

There is no better way to kick off Friday’s Main Stage festivities, than with these four talented young musicians who make up Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band, each packing an instrumental skill impressive at any age. Brothers Miles and Teo Quale, National and State Champion fiddlers and pickers, are joined by award-winning bassist Andrew Osborn and former CBA Youth Ambassador guitarist John Gooding. Grown from the CBA youth music culture, these Northern California based players have already worked very hard, in a short amount of time, to become a musical force to be reckoned with. Winners of the 2018 Pickin’ in the Pines Band Contest in Flagstaff AZ, and selected by the International Bluegrass Music Association to perform at IBMA’s 2018 World of Bluegrass in North Carolina, Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band is making waves in the bluegrass community. We’re so happy that their efforts have brought them to the Strawberry stage and are looking forward to enjoying their performance alongside some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. We hope to see you there!

BANANA SLUG STRING BAND RETURN TO STRING STRAWBERRY
Banana Slug String Band - Cetacea

The Banana Slug String Band has been making music for kids for over 40 years, and in that time, they have released 11 award winning CDs of original songs, played in a variety of musical styles. And band members, Doug Dirt, Airy Larry, Marine Mark, and Solar Steve, have been enchanting Strawberry families since the very early years. Now, a whole new generation of y children are being educated and entertained by their legendary live performances.  We can’t wait to see what wonder they will bring to Spring Strawberry in 2019.

We're excited to welcome each and every one of these performers to the Strawberry stage. Almost as much as we are to see them alongside the nicest people in the world! We hope to see you there.

Thank you!
