Hi all,

I've been following KNXD and pKNyX for a time now... On thing that I've been thinking for a long time now is that I hate the fact that for using ETS (legally) we have to pay.

I understand well KNX product development, from firmware to ETS DataBase, and I know how products' ETS DataBases are (some kind of XML format that holds all parameters options with respective possible values and uC memory to affect).

These DataBases provided normally as .knxprod are no more than a zipped folder containing this XML files.

I've been looking forward to work in such project, but I haven't been able to find the time to do so, and definitely I won't have time soon for doing it all by my self.

Of course I realize that a full flagged "Open ETS" would be very complex and requires many man-hours.

My question is (as in the title): "How do-able do you think it is? Do you think it would worth?"

PS: of course after this I would come with the idea of "Open Manufacturer Tool". Hahahaha
