Dear Alumni Members, KNUST Alumni Association is not a typical Ghana local tribal Association. The Association should therefore not to be used as a platform for funeral and outdooring announcements as well as soliciting for any non-alumni-related issue fund-raising activities whatsoever. Members interested in those funeral and outdooring announcements may join those Ghana local tribal Associations or can contact the members they know without using the Alumni members list. The behavior and reaction from some members for some time now implies that they have not read the Bye-Laws of this association. Those of you who have completed Graduate Schools here in the US and Canada know how Alumni Associations operate. Attached is the Bye-Laws of this Association. Individuals who are interested to continue being members of this enviable Association may read it and behave accordingly, because we are not going to allow this Association become like a typical Ghana local tribal Association. Also note that there are some foreigners who attended TECH and do not understand the relationship of funeral/outdooring announcements with Alumni Association operations. So many Alumni Members also registered with their office and work email addresses and obviously do not want their email consistently jammed with non-related Alumni issues. Let us do not forget that we are global professionals. Thanks to all.
On behalf of the Members who formed this Association in May 1999 (Washington DC).
