Especially you Yaw Boakye aka 541n1 or whatever you call you self.

This is a warning to anybody who did not do CS in this group, do not. I repeat, do not talk trash about trash you don't know.

OK

Yaw Boakye do not talk trash about CS. Or you'll be outed for the incompetent medioce person you are on this group.

Been taught by google dev don't make you a CS, you have no idea what Compilers are, absolutely no idea on how to analyse
data structures or the finer details of CS, you are just a user, so shut the fuck up and use.

Do not under any circumstances assume to have any knowledge on the workings of CS, you agric fuck

- Sincerely yours
Nii Nai

Hey dude. Watch how you write! You can make your point without using publicly unacceptable language and without telling people how useless they are.

So, apologize to Yaw Boakye, apologize to the group and calm down.

Can you at least give me one reason why I shouldn't think you an Asshole yourself?

If you have problems with Yaw Boakye, the most civilized thing you could have done would have been to send him an email (you are smart enough to know you have his email address) and not have me read the baggage you sent to this group.

You have acted so irresponsibly and have been so disrespectful by sending out that email. You have done CS, so what? Does that make you a better person? Who told you that being taught by lecturers who don't know the practicalities of what they are teaching makes you a CS.

If learning from developers at google, who actually does solve problems with their knowledge, doesn't make you a better developer, does learning from your book-long lecturers make you any better?

CS can be learned by anybody who's smart enough to know the operations of a computer if he/she has the time. You don't have to get a CS degree before you can write a program to do anything useful. Remember, you are a user too. You are currently using software written by people who are smarter than you.

Please, it's not his fault he's better/smarter than you although he didn't study CS. You don't have to pick up on him because studied Agric. Engineering. I know Yaw B at a personal level, and with the stunt you've pulled, I am not shaky to say he's way better than you.

tldr;
Complacency is such a bad thing. It will gradually kill you. Don't think cos you have done CS you know it all. IMHO, you don't know shit! You are lucky to be working at the company you are at now. You browse stackoverflow.com all day all night to be able to get your code to work. You don't even answer questions asked by others because you are not even an expert in what you seem to be proud of. You come out of your cubicle and you expect the whole world to hail you. Ain't gonna happen. Please treat people with respect and you will earn their respect.

Apology to GDG KNUST
=========================================================================

I apologize to GDG KNUST for my earlier outburst on the issue of the title of this post.

To Yaw Boakye let me reiterate FUCK YOU

In case you do not comprehend the reason why I have made it my personal agenda to
write shit about your ignorant self, the paragraph below should give you a solid grasp
of the concept.

You are an incorrigible ignorant idiot who takes delight in not criticizing, but talking trash
about other people's works. A fact made more irritating because you do not do anything,
just mitch. I must be clear on the point that I do not give a rat's ass how you criticize the
work of others, if you are being constructive, and know what the fuck you are about?
i'm cool. I also must be clear on the fact, you the above mentioned fool, have no right to
criticize KNUST CS or any other CS for that matter unless you have passed through the system,
this means that only CS should judge CS and you keep your mouth shut because anything say
will be out of ignorance.

You posted on a comment on @Naa_Achere  blog on twitter saying;
Yaw @22bytes
"@Naa_Achere I don't, and will never, settle for mediocrity! Maybe you shouldn't too :)"

Well let me call you out on this mitch!

Every decent human knows that before he opens his ass-in-mouth to make an opinionated
comment about the efforts of other humans he should have a valid stand, a definition if you like,
of what his dissatisfaction with something is, and the expertise to make such;

So let's see yours qualification; Before that let us define;

me·di·o·cre
/ˌmēdēˈōkər/
Adjective
Of only moderate quality; not very good: "a mediocre actor".
Synonyms
middling - moderate - indifferent - ordinary - mean

Hey fuck face did you do a google define on the word mediocre before you used it.

Let's address how you have settled not only for mediocre shit, but also a mediocre thought
process, and how you want to smear every human being within internet reach with your
shitty half-baked - in other words mediocre thought process, that will be appropriate.

1. You did not do CS. This disqualifies you as a person with the right to criticize the operations
of the CS department in accredited institution in general and KNUST in particular. Why? Any
educated person - a set which you obviously are not a member of, will ask.

    i. You did not survive the selection process; either because of your own inadequacies, or
failure, or ignorance, or any of the above.
ii. You blame and hate others for surviving the selection process, even if they weren't as qualified
as your pitiful self - on this I have one thing to say, "Mitch grow the fuck up! The world is not fair".
Stop hating and get a life.

Until you have done 4 or so years in a CS department, you have absolutely no right to condemn the
system, leave that to those who have gone through it. You should concentrate on you department
or lack of it thereof mitch. Do not even fart CS in your sleep turd, because you are not a CS.

2. If you expect to be spoon-fed education in the university, boy you are more fucked up than the system.
Go the fuck back to Senior Secondary or wherever the fuck you came from, and leave university
education to those who understand and appreciate what it is about.

3. You probably did not know that although you are a developer or whatever you call yourself you are
never a part of the CS society - unless of course you take a CS degree or masters, in case you did not
    realize foo.

4. Hey fart face, according to the definition of  mediocre, we can observe that a person is mediocre if
and only if she has a range of options to choose from,  apriori knowledge of the options is key, and she
chooses the mean of these options.

What this means is that you can not say she is mediocre unless you have it on good authority that the subject
of scorn has prior knowledge of options and their effects on her goal. This means that Rasheeda or any other
CS guy out there who goes looking for further knowledge can not be considered mediocre, you shitfaced
fuck, rather they are the spirit of CS, in case you did not know, CS is about knowledge acquisition and
dissemination, no matter where that information may be.

It also means that you, yes you asshole, who goes around making unadviced judgements is the one been
mediocre because we know for a fact that not only do you not know the facts of the matter, you also
choose to make such ill-adviced comments inspite of this ignorance, another mental defect crops up mitch.

This calls for a new epithet to be appended to your already long shitty name, ignorant-mediocre-fuck-faced-mitch,
    how does that sound.

Now in case you did not notice ignoramus, it is important that the word mediocre be used in a
     context-sensitive manner, for example;

A developer chooses bubble sort over some exotic algorithm, we all know the range of sorting algorithms or
google does, and we all know that in general the asymptotic running time of bubble makes it a choice for
fools, while there are more efficient algorithm.

A stupid fool like you will go around shouting like every other such stupid fool, the developer is dumb or
mediocre or any other epithet your bird brain can conjure, without asking the key question what was the
developer trying to achieve? How big is her input ever going to be, was she aiming for efficiency or simplicity, a
typical trade-off any CS and any developer worth his salt knows. What was the reason she chose bubble sort
over say inspite of the obvious quick sort?

Do not call somebody mediocre till you know the complete fact of the issue. It is the fool, you, who passes
judgement without gathering the complete facts and weighing his judgement by them.

5. Also what the fuck is this thing with you attacking the CS girls, why no cojones mitch to take on
the boys, huh? Are you one of those educated-backward-cavemen we have in town? Fucking grow a pair already!

You, if you were worth anything will know that the computer culture is about information and getting to as
many people as possible, not being a knowledge-block.

Any one who has dispersed knowledge knows that you only get better at what you do by its dissemination
to as many people as possible.

6. The fact that computers and their application have become ubiquitous does not make any Tom, Dick and you
a CS type. You can do all the MEST courses you like it is not enough, sit you arse down in a CS class for the
degree and come back and post comments on that mitch.

So my advice to you O foolish one, is shut the fuck up, watch, listen and learn and do. You may actually
come across to people as a wise man.

     Fuck you very much.

     - Nii Nai

     PS: Again as you go around insulting and aggravating people reflect on these questions;

What constructive criticism have you contributed to any project or effort?
What have you achieved in your life, that makes you have a say in what people do or say?
What area can you consider yourself an expert opinion?
What have you contributed to the body of knowledge?
Have you ever taught anyone anything, apart from being the one who is always taught?
Have you ever sat through a CS class?

Answer any these questions and no one will will have to tell you, like no one told me, like any wise man,
SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!! COS YOU AINT SHIT!!!!!!!!!!

Yaw, Amoeba and Saddique I know you all on a very personal level. I've thought and learnt from you all at a point in time and this is my take on this issue.
Yaw, for soo soo long you've been making all sort of bad comments about CS guys especially KNUST at a very personal level. I remember having similar exchange of words with cos of something you wrote to Rasheeda. If you want things to change, you've got to act positively. What makes you think you were properly thought the agric you studied. Just compare your course outline to MIT and see how shitty the KNUST one is. We all know this. We passed through the system and did out best to come out as good as we could be. Now if you think being at MEST makes you a geek just as many MEST guys think then pls you are making a mistake. Anyone could be at MEST. Don't live on the glories of a grand daddy and go about insulting almost everyone just because u think the person is not good. What action have u taken to change CS in Ghana for the better? This makes you a common critic with not action, a wanna be. Please you've to stop this. I've been silent for long cos sometime I read ur posts about CS and get pissed off. I've been with n learnt from very brilliant people like Kwamena Appiah Kubi, Edwin Amoakwa, Saddique Nii Nai etc who passed through this same shitty department but came out as really good people.
Yaw show all of us all the super cool things you've done which none of us has ever done before. Think of Edem Morny (genkey). Is he a cheap product of KNUST CS department?
It just so happens that in the kingdom of blind men, a one eyed man becomes the king.

Amoeba, I know you personally so I know you wrote out of anger just like my buddie, Saddique did especially his ridiculous apology but you've all made your point.

Yaw how about a a show-off contest to prove who's really really good and not a clanging cymbal?

Enjoy!

Let me take advantage of the fact that this thread is active (thank you Sadik :) ) to ask this of you guys:

What do you think about a developers conference in Ghana? It's not just another conference because:

  • As it stands now, there are no designated speakers. Anybody can be a speaker (on curated titles) at the conference
  • We are bringing in resource persons to give us some insight into where we can apply our tech skills, be entrepreneurs, and earn big money
  • We shall compose a Tech TaskForce to take lead in solving problems via code or deliberation to make our lives as developers easier
  • There will be an exhibition by startups. If you're impressed by their product or idea or whatever you can become either a customer or an employee. How cool is that?

If that sounds interesting, we're game! But we need your thoughts on some decisions we have to make now: You can share them with us through this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1hfw4eQTdPNI_ySzsgMtRv0C8zF_WLTl9ROnkIYLeke0/viewform

Let's keep talking!

Thanks :)

Interesting read so far, yet you guys hardly blog lol. But guys please watch your language. It's really not clean. You never know who's reading. Many talented people lose very good opportunities because of how they express themselves.

The ideal thing to do is calm down and express yourself in a much clearer manner. Maybe its about time we went back to the book of Proverbs or the equivalent in the Koran when we find ourselves in a heated debate.

Meeeen! these are really great achievement which deserves some applause.

But seriously, I wish this group could be this busy always doing great stuff instead of picking bones with each other.
Yaw is a great guy and so is everyone else.

I think we should all read his awesome posts on yawboakye.com (even though there's no post) lol

Some correction to and clarification(!) on the information on me provided by Edward.

I have never built an Eclipse theme and I don't plan to.

Sure, 515 reputation on StackOverflow. But I don't mention it anywhere. Fuck, what's a reputation of 515?

Yeah, currently I'm the only person behind 22mazes but I co-founded DevCongress with a couple of friends. That's the event I'm inviting you to attending this August.

Of all social media, I'm very active on Twitter, I host my code on Github and snippets (or longer snippets) on Github's Gist. I won't a minimal Binary Search Tree in JavaScript as a way of salvaging a day wasted on Kizomba and booze. It doesn't balance automatically and it's entirely recursive. Writing a recursive remove method is proving challenging as it's not clear to me how to mark a dead node for garbage collection i.e. setting the entire node to null when that's the context. It's been 2 months since I first push code to it. You can check it out especially Sadik you were talking about data structures and algorithm analysis. Do you want me to perform an performance analysis on it for you? I'm a paying customer ($7.00/mo) to keep code related to 22mazes private. But you're free to judge me on all the code you see there. LinkedIn is for professional things, you know.

This is my homepage YAWBOAKYE.COM (code for the homepage is at https://github.com/yawboakye/yawboakye.github.io) and this is my blog BLOG.YAWBOAKYE.COM and I have one post, a Welcome post. I'd write more once I'm done reading Technical Blogging: Turn Your Expertise into a Remarkable Online Presence by Antonio Cangiano and that's after I'm done reading Daniel Kahneman's Thinking Fast and Slow. I hope it won't be long.

I hack on Bliss (follow the link for more info). It's a private repo so you can get into it. But it's a Scala application, the back-end for Bliss mobile application.

I appreciate your sarcasm in hailing these as my achievements, after all it makes you feel better :)

Thank you for referring to me as a great guy. Unfortunately I have to reject the compliment :(. I'm just a guy from a slum in downtown Obuasi and I'd prefer you refer to me as such, just a slum boy.

@Sadik I thought you wanted the definition of mediocrity. I found it for you, "just look at you." There's no better embodiment of mediocrity than you Sadik, no better embodiment!

PS: I wanted to analyse your 5-point argument on why I can't say fuck about KNUST CS but I'm exercising maximum restraint out of respect for fellow human lest I put your intelligence and commonsense to question. I'm letting you go. If you think that's not me being kind to me just dare me.

I rest my case AGAIN! smh
