1. You did not do CS. This disqualifies you as a person with the right to criticize the operations

    of the CS department in accredited institution in general and KNUST in particular. Why? Any

    i. You did not survive the selection process; either because of your own inadequacies, or

       failure, or ignorance, or any of the above.

    ii. You blame and hate others for surviving the selection process, even if they weren't as qualified

        Stop hating and get a life.

    Until you have done 4 or so years in a CS department, you have absolutely no right to condemn the

    system, leave that to those who have gone through it. You should concentrate on you department

2. If you expect to be spoon-fed education in the university, boy you are more fucked up than the system.

    Go the fuck back to Senior Secondary or wherever the fuck you came from, and leave university

    education to those who understand and appreciate what it is about.

3. You probably did not know that although you are a developer or whatever you call yourself you are

    never a part of the CS society - unless of course you take a CS degree or masters, in case you did not  

    realize foo.

4. Hey fart face, according to the definition of  mediocre, we can observe that a person is mediocre if 

    and only if she has a range of options to choose from,  apriori knowledge of the options is key, and she 

    chooses the mean of these options.

    What this means is that you can not say she is mediocre unless you have it on good authority that the subject

    of scorn has prior knowledge of options and their effects on her goal. This means that Rasheeda or any other

    CS guy out there who goes looking for further knowledge can not be considered mediocre, you shitfaced

    fuck, rather they are the spirit of CS, in case you did not know, CS is about knowledge acquisition and 

    dissemination, no matter where that information may be.

    It also means that you, yes you asshole, who goes around making unadviced judgements is the one been

    mediocre because we know for a fact that not only do you not know the facts of the matter, you also

    choose to make such ill-adviced comments inspite of this ignorance, another mental defect crops up mitch.

    This calls for a new epithet to be appended to your already long shitty name, ignorant-mediocre-fuck-faced-mitch,

    how does that sound.

     Now in case you did not notice ignoramus, it is important that the word mediocre be used in a

     context-sensitive manner, for example;

     

     A developer chooses bubble sort over some exotic algorithm, we all know the range of sorting algorithms or

     google does, and we all know that in general the asymptotic running time of bubble makes it a choice for

     fools, while there are more efficient algorithm.

     A stupid fool like you will go around shouting like every other such stupid fool, the developer is dumb or 

     mediocre or any other epithet your bird brain can conjure, without asking the key question what was the 

     developer trying to achieve? How big is her input ever going to be, was she aiming for efficiency or simplicity, a 

     typical trade-off any CS and any developer worth his salt knows. What was the reason she chose bubble sort 

     over say inspite of the obvious quick sort? 

    Do not call somebody mediocre till you know the complete fact of the issue. It is the fool, you, who passes

    judgement without gathering the complete facts and weighing his judgement by them.

5. Also what the fuck is this thing with you attacking the CS girls, why no cojones mitch to take on

    the boys, huh? Are you one of those educated-backward-cavemen we have in town? Fucking grow a pair already!

    You, if you were worth anything will know that the computer culture is about information and getting to as

    many people as possible, not being a knowledge-block. 

    Any one who has dispersed knowledge knows that you only get better at what you do by its dissemination

    to as many people as possible.

6. The fact that computers and their application have become ubiquitous does not make any Tom, Dick and you

    a CS type. You can do all the MEST courses you like it is not enough, sit you arse down in a CS class for the

    degree and come back and post comments on that mitch.

     So my advice to you O foolish one, is shut the fuck up, watch, listen and learn and do. You may actually

     come across to people as a wise man.

Point of correction, I have no problem with all CS guys. I have a problem with some CS guys. I posted on GDC (Ghana Developers Community) about employing developers and I showed respect to CS guys. I even mentioned you. You can check it out if you're a member just to be clear.

Another point of correction, I don't think myself a good developer because of MEST, no I don't do that! Maybe you're assuming too much and verifying too little. And I'm not living on any "grand" daddy's glories. I know what my goals in life are and how to achieve them.

I don't write often but you seem to have read a lot from me. Can you refer me to posts I made "criticizing" CS in Tech? I'd be very grateful.

To me, there's no difference between what you wrote and what @Sadiq's first (I'm yet to read the "Apology to GDG"). And the challenge? I accept it in good faith. Where do we start from? Let me know when you have the tasks ready.

Yaw we are all good at what we do but never the best. What I mean is, we compliment each other. I think you erred and it's only wise and right to accept okay.

Personally I often say KNUST CS is shitty but I realized this earlier and did most of my studies on MIT OCW. I even still learn actively on coursera because I realized I didn't really know shit. This is exactly what someone willing to learn does. I learn and I love to share. I take advice from people I respect and look up to and brush off crap from mere critics. Let the fire in you guide you on your quest for knowledge. Accept it when you are being corrected. That's how we grow. You are a good guy so don't break bridges with your words. I sometimes feel you can murder with your words. Please learn to exercise restraints when it comes to choosing words.

• As it stands now, there are no designated speakers. Anybody can be a speaker (on curated titles) at the conference
• We are bringing in resource persons to give us some insight into where we can apply our tech skills, be entrepreneurs, and earn big money
• We shall compose a Tech TaskForce to take lead in solving problems via code or deliberation to make our lives as developers easier
• There will be an exhibition by startups. If you're impressed by their product or idea or whatever you can become either a customer or an employee. How cool is that?

When all it is is you were taught in MEST by a Google developer( which we never hear the end of). Edward and Saddique and Pk are great devs, yet they weren't even taught by "Google developers". You once even said you don't know why Alloysius of farmerline is being called a dev, that you can build farmerline overnight and I challenged you to, didn't I? But you never built it.

At least you are admitting it now. I just don't understand why you can't have an intellectual discourse with using uncouth language. Yes, its true that development is not the best in Ghana, but then again, you think this your "I-am-the-best-dev-in-ghana" behavior will change anything? Ghana has a young industry, this your unnecessary quarrels and insults won't help it. I don;t think its right that you should be calling people out and calling them names because you can code better than them(whatever that means). It would be better if we all help each other to make the dev world a better place not doing this your things. Of all social media, I'm very active on Twitter, I host my code on Github and snippets (or longer snippets) on Github's Gist. I won't a minimal Binary Search Tree in JavaScript as a way of salvaging a day wasted on Kizomba and booze. It doesn't balance automatically and it's entirely recursive. Writing a recursive remove method is proving challenging as it's not clear to me how to mark a dead node for garbage collection i.e. setting the entire node to null when that's the context. It's been 2 months since I first push code to it. You can check it out especially Sadik you were talking about data structures and algorithm analysis. Do you want me to perform an performance analysis on it for you? I'm a paying customer ($7.00/mo) to keep code related to 22mazes private. But you're free to judge me on all the code you see there. @Yaw I don't know u personally but judging from the stuffs u have on github I can say without a single doubt that u are better than more than 95% of the CS graduates from tech.

bottom line is u are all great developers and I believe it'll be more fruitful if u work together than whatever you call this.

It is unfortunate that GDG KNUST has allowed one of it's own to go loose on people trying to do exactly what I preached and

practiced, what GDG KNUST preached and practiced. The reason for the existence of this GROUP.

I did not start this as a flame war - well maybe I did, but I wanted Yaw Boakye to know that he as a member of this group should not be doing

what he was doing in his comments on Rasheeda's post about a year ago and on Achere's blog this week. 

If he wants to be a true member of this group his should get his ass in line, or get his ass the fuck out.

You guys have allowed Yaw Boakye to proceed on a path contrary to the philosophy of the group, I think as a group we need to 

educate him in the evils of his ways, or we have been deceiving ourselves.

He is a bloated person filled with empty pride, GDG KNUST needs to call him out on his faults, bring them to light and let him know it 

don't allow such behavior. Stop allowing him to get away with the destruction of the very reason why GDG KNUST was formed, stop 

hiding under the guise of politeness and diplomacy, call Yaw Boakye an asshole cause I know that is what everybody knows him to be, 

and after calling him that tell him why you have, like I have, and if he refuses to see that he is an ass, at least GDG KNUST has done its

part. At least I have done my part.

I do not hate him or dislike, I hate what he represents, the darkness, the willingness to keep people in the dark, and wield knowledge like

it was a weapon, like it was an advantage that should be kept from everybody. The darkness that is keeping Ghana as it is, GDG KNUST

tried to bring light to the darkness in KNUST, Yaw Boakye is fostering that darkness, from within our very midst.

You may have done it differently, but from what I have seen in his postings, he has been accorded more respect than he deserves, he

may yet still change, and until he does he is not going to get a shred of respect from me.

A question we should all ask ourselves, what is GDG KNUST about?

@Edward Don't forget that I told you I only responded to what Sadik said. What I did is not different from what you're doing now. I guess it's the natural thing to do. If there's no new post attacking me I'd have no reason to attack back as a defense mechanism. So let the attacker hold his peace and I'd shut up too. And let them know that they're responsible for this too. But I understand your bias, you can't tell him that because everything he said is favorable to you.

Go back to the first post, read everything and especially your posts on that thread and all other related threads and find out how you attempted to bring peace. Did you ever call Sadik out for whatever he said? NO! But you did call me out and say all sorts of things, insulting me in the process. But nobody insulted me, did anybody? I insulted everybody, didn't I? That's what you saw. And that's why there is no peace because everybody else was right and I was wrong. I get it!

For the guy you met at the mall, he should never think I'm a saint neither am I a sinner. And that even with my good heart I can be mean and disrespectful towards whoever proves to deserve that treatment. I want him to know that he should have the courage and strength to defend himself against any oppressor, and do so with all his heart, soul, and might. He should culminate his defense with his ego notched up, proud, with no regret, no remorse! Because that's the only way to let the oppressors know that even if we will succeed in defeating us, we put up a fight of our lives.
