If you want to see what an email is about but not open it completely, you can preview it. In the inbox, touch and hold an email to preview its contents and see a list of options for replying, filing it, and more. See Perform quick actions on iPhone.

UNACCEPTABLE! Why did my phone suddenly start texting people using either my phone number OR my email address? I couldn't figure it out until today, a full two months after trying to see if it was T-mobile's fault.

I have now changed it to use only my phone number as a caller ID, but everyone who recieved messages via my email account CAN'T TEXT ME BACK, becuase they simply respond to my initial texts which were from my email address, which they can't resond to.

The Caller ID setting is only visible if you have more than one thing listed in Receive At. (The reason is that if there is only one Receive At option there is no reason for having a Caller ID setting as there is only one option for your ID.) I'm not sure what problem you are trying to solve, but if you enable iMessage and it is verified you will see both your number and the email address associated with your Apple ID listed in Receive At, and the Caller ID setting will be visible so you can choose which one you want to use to identify your outgoing messages.

Go to: Settings, Messages, Send & Receive. My mobile number was greyed out and wouldn't allow me to select it. My email address was highlighted but it also allowed me to "Add An Email". I selected my current email address and it gave me the option to delete it. Once I deleted my email address, it automatically reverted to my mobile number!!

I'm sorry but turning off imessage isn't anything but a temporary fix. I shouldnt randomly loose a function of my phone and the only resolution is "turn off said function" iMessage has been a problematic product from the get go and Apple needs to take some efforts to fix it.

It can help to isolate this issue some. Does this happen with every single link from different email messages or does it seem to be only happening to certain links? If you copy the link from the message and load it in Safari does it work?

Hi, that is correct. I have restarted the phone but the issue occurred again a few hours later. This time it was opening a link from the native email app that had worked fine a few hours earlier but then started loading but stopped and only loaded by going back to email and tapping the link a second time.

I am having a similar problem but, in my case, selecting a link in an email from Twitter takes me to the Twitter app I have installed on my iPhone 13 or the app on iPad 2 Air. In my case it get the "Nothing see here - yet" message and nothing I do in the email (clicking again, etc.) works. If I open the Twitter email on my Windows laptop and click a tweet link, it works fine by opening Twitter in my Chrome browser and showing the Tweet I selected in the email.

I have only found this an issue when clicking a link in email or an app that then opens a Safari window. The loading bar starts to fill but stops after a brief moment and never finishes loading. If you go back into the email and click the link again, Safari opens and it loads up the page straight away the second time around.

When you are in mail and tap on the share button and use the option to print when you're viewing the printer options just pinch and zoom on the email then in the top right corner and you will see another option and just tap that and from there you will be able to save your email as a pdf.

You will need at least two email accounts setup in Mail app to have this ability in Mail composition screens, you can add a new email account to iOS at anytime using third party services like gmail, hotmail, outlook, yahoo, aol, or create a new iCloud.com email address if you want.

Hello, I have a iPhone 7plus and can not figure out how to change my last name when I send a email. The name that shows is not my last name anymore since I have remarried and would like it to say both our names with new last name. Any help would be appreciated Thank you

The new OME experience doesn't require you to download a separate app. If your organization has updated to the latest OME capabilities, we recommend using Outlook for iOS for a seamless and secure experience reading Microsoft 365 messages. See, How do I open a message secured by Microsoft 365 Encryption for directions on viewing Microsoft 365 protected messages in other email apps.

Why does my encrypted message email look different than the screenshots on this page? Organizations who use Office 365 Message Encryption are able to customize their messages to their recipients. While the email may look different according to the organization's branding, the general steps will be the same.

I want to make a Flutter app and one of the requirements is to open the native email client on the Android or iPhone device. I do NOT wish to create a new email, just open the email app. I would like to be able to open the email client with platform generic code if possible, if not I would like to know what would be required on the iOS side. I am not looking for the Send Email Intent, as I know there is a plugin in Flutter for that. Being a Android Developer I believe I know how to call an Intent from Flutter for that Implicit Intent, if I have to go that way, but I don't have the familiarity with iOS.

It shows all 3 of my email apps that I have installed on my android smartphone, but for some reason it also gives the option to open my paypal app, which could make users of my app think to be a bit sus.

It is sometimes necessary to add more details in the Advanced Options section when connecting your inbox to HubSpot using IMAP. Your IT team should be able to provide your mail server's IMAP and SMTP information. If not, you can take the steps below to find them in your email client:

Zoho Mail has a dedicated iOS mobile app for iPhone. It is simple and powerful to use. Apart from Mail, it also syncs your Calendar and Contacts also, without interfering in the device's native calendar and contacts. Download and install the app from the App store.

You can choose to automatically delete your iMessages from your device after 30 days or a year, or to keep them on your device forever. For your convenience, iMessages are backed up in iCloud and encrypted if you have enabled either iCloud Backup or Messages in iCloud. You can turn off both iCloud Backup and Messages in iCloud whenever you want. On your iOS or iPadOS device, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud. On Mac, go to Messages > Settings > iMessage, and deselect Enable Messages in iCloud.

What do you do if you don't have a data plan on your phone, or you're in an area where you're only getting cellular service and not data or LTE? Fortunately, cell phones allow users to send emails via text message. And if you have the opposite problem, and find yourself without cell service, you can receive text messages from email accounts. Here's how:

Note: When you send an email via text message, it will show up as a regular email with text in the body of the email and with a .txt file attachment. If you sent photos, videos, or audio files, those will come through as attachments, too.

Just as you can send an email with a text message, you can also send a text via email. This is helpful when you only have data and not cellular service, which sometimes occurs in cell phone dead zones, or on planes. Here's how to send a text message via email:

When you use the "text to email" method, you cannot change the subject line, so it will send with "(no subject)." This is fine in some cases, but when you're trying to keep track of an ongoing list, it's not ideal. You want to be able to find the texts you sent to a single subject line. To avoid this, use the second method, "email to text."

Test it out: Send yourself a text from your email with the desired subject line, like "Mobile To-Do List," and then reply to that via text every time you have a new to-do item to add to your list. All the text messages will appear within the same email thread for easy tracking.

Sometimes you're out of the office and find yourself without access to cell phone data or LTE, but you need your Smith.ai receptionists to make a call on your behalf. Whenever I send someone a text, I'm told that it shows that "[email protected]" is sending the text and not my phone number. And when someone responds to "[email protected]", I receive the message on my computer and Wi-Fi only iPad, but not my iPhone. Is there any way to only send and receive messages from a phone number?
