I just downloaded the latest version of the del.icio.us bookmark
replacement for firefox (http://del.icio.us/help/firefox/bookmarks/
quicktour) - which until today was a replacement for the existing
bookmark system in firefox. Now you have the option of displaying the
original bookmark menu along side the del.icio.us menu. I guess you
can say it's the best of both worlds because it is both worlds =p

I happen to know that there's another browser whose development
versions includes the same functionality, but without your having to
install an extension.

I hate installing extensions. You have to go to a website, search for
the ones you like... and that whole one-click-install thing just
seems... amoral.

Would you happen to know when this other browser will exit beta?

Sure, it'll exit beta on <speaks, muffled, into microphone>.
Seriously, I'm not sure when we're releasing our next big thing. Staff
changes (not the least of which was a CEO shuffle) have changed our
timeline somewhat. Sometime fairly soon (really), we're releasing a
new beta version called Cormorant (http://www.flock.com/blog/
introducing-cormorant for some details). That'll be followed by a 1.0
later in the year.

Mike, you'll be happy to know that I've lobbied hard with new folk in
charge of product dev to get support for reading feeds from a remote
OPML added. It won't be in Cormorant, I don't think, but I believe
it's on the "maybe" list for 1.0.
