Background: The efficacy of virtual visits in converting new patients into established patients undergoing surgical treatment has not been demonstrated. The aim of this study was to evaluate patient retention and surgical conversion rate after an initial virtual plastic surgery consultation.

Methods: An IRB-approved retrospective review of all new plastic surgery patients seen between May and August 2020 at a single institution was conducted. The initial encounter type, chief complaint, demographics, treatment recommendation, insurance approval rate, number and modality of pre- and postoperative visits, time to procedure, follow up, and complications were recorded. Patient retention and surgery conversion rate were calculated. Statistical analysis was performed with Chi-squared test, Fisher's exact test, and unpaired t-test.

The 3D OCULUS does exactly that. Dr. Panchal can show you different options virtually, allowing you to see the benefits of each before coming to a final decision. Not only does this empower you even more in the decision-making process, but it puts you at ease and makes you excited, not fearful, for surgery.

At Genesis, your final outcome and satisfaction are critically important to us. We, therefore, provide this service at no extra cost to you. Dr. Panchal wants to make your dream a reality as much as you do.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) is devoted to providing industry-leading education, networking events and online activities covering nearly every important topic in the world of plastic surgery. From procedure-specific presentations to insightful case reviews, leadership training to practice management tips, the Society's comprehensive symposia, dynamic workshops and online education remain favorites among thought-leading surgeons.

An ideal online consultation for a medspa or a plastic surgery practice should be private, save time for both the patient and the physician, and it should allow the process to be conducted anywhere where there is a good WiFi connection.

There are now many new online platforms that allow live video communication with patients. Zoom, Doxy.me, Klara, Symplast, and FaceTime are just a few of the telemedicine applications being used today. The ideal is to communicate with a patient in a HIPAA-compliant way that requires minimal effort from both patient and doctor.

You will receive a text or an email from the practice letting you know the date and time of the virtual consultation as well as tips on how to maximize your time with the plastic surgeon, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. It is important to be as prepared as possible for a virtual consultation, as there are technical requirements that one needs to check off for the consultation to be successful.

Many prospective patients do their research by browsing the internet and talking to family and friends who have had plastic surgery. While this is helpful to your decision-making process, one of the most important parts of your research will be having a professional consultation.

Whatever your aesthetic concerns or needs, we offer a wide range of plastic surgery procedures and anti-ageing skin treatments to help you reach all of your cosmetic goals. During a consultation, Dr. Ladak can assess your medical history and goals to find the safest and best procedure for you.

Not long ago, seeking the advice of a board-certified plastic surgeon beyond your postal code seemed impossible, but thanks to the internet, virtual plastic surgery consultations are becoming more and more popular.

If you are interested in saving time and energy travelling to a clinic and wish to get a rapid assessment of what plastic surgery might be able to do for you, then a virtual consultation may be a great start.

No. While a virtual consultation is a good first step in establishing trust and comfort, it does not replace an in-person consultation. It must be followed up by a physical exam so that your plastic surgeon can examine your body and observe your skin and musculature to develop the safest, most effective treatment plan.

To find out more about our wide range of customized plastic surgery treatments, including facelifts, breast augmentation, and liposuction, contact Dr. Ladak at 780-407-6691 or fill in our online contact form.

Our virtual plastic surgery consultations take place using a secure, confidential online consultation platform that is HIPAA-compliant. Patients both near and far can use this valuable resource to learn about our practice and whether they candidates for the procedures in which they are interested.

Virtual consultations are possible using several different types of devices, including your smartphone. However, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer because Dr. Hasen shares his screen during the process to point out details on your photos, as well as showing before-and-after photos of patients to help illustrate the possible results of your procedure. Other factors that can enhance virtual consultations include:

Even though we can perform most of the consultation process online, including most paperwork, a personal meeting before your surgery is still necessary. This helps patients feel comfortable and confident before arriving on the day of their surgery. Our primary goal is that you feel at ease with your choices and that the procedure is right for you.

All information you provide is kept confidential. We do not distribute your personal data to any person or organization outside of our office. You can request an online consultation using the online form. Or call our office at (239) 262-5662 to ask about scheduling on online consult. We serve southwest Florida patients from Naples, Fort Myers, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, Estero, Cape Coral, and those traveling from farther afield.

People from all over the world come to Seattle Plastic Surgery to seek plastic surgery and other care. To accommodate patients who are outside Washington State or cannot get to the office easily, Dr. Craig Jonov, Dr. David Santos, and other providers offer virtual consultations.

After you schedule your consultation, a patient care coordinator will assign you paperwork online via our portal. They may also ask you to upload pictures of the body areas you want to address. This helps your provider evaluate your medical history, anatomy, and candidacy before the consultation.

Virtual consultations at Seattle Plastic Surgery are performed through either FaceTime or Skype. They are usually towards the end of the day. Feel free to use any device with a camera. Generally, you are asked to be in a private space where you can comfortably undress if needed. All HIPAA guidelines are followed and your privacy is protected to the same level as an in-person consultation.

Otherwise, your consultation will function the same as an in-person consultation. Your provider will ask you questions about your medical history, lifestyle, and goals for surgery or treatment. They may ask to see the area. Your provider will then describe and create a personalized surgical or treatment plan. Before ending your consultation, you will receive a customized price based on your procedure(s) as well as financing information.

Other than your surgery, most appointments can be conducted virtually. Generally, for surgical procedures, Drs. Jonov and Santos request that patients stay in town long enough for their first post-operative appointment. However, depending on the surgery and recovery, you may need to stay longer.
