Anyone have a decent solution to receiving comments on their site? Another plugin to handle comments or an open source bot detector?

I see the Akismet plugin. Anything else available?

Also, I have now forced my site to https, but many of the comments have gotten in before that. I cannot delete those. Even when I could access the http site, it would not allow me to delete the comments. Is there any way I can do this? I've been hunting in phpMyAdmin for a few days.

I guess I'm frustrated. I really love known and supporting it through convoy. Now, I don't know how to support the development.

I too have been having spam comments...so much so that I disabled it. I hope there's a solution because I would have to switch again.....
