I am recommending this man if you cannot go to the Natl Archives yourself.  He helped me solve the parents' (combined with other records)  of an old Civil War soldier from the north who then became a carpet bagger and a bigamist.  All very interesting.  A 100 page file.

I'm excited to announce that The National Archives have reopened, and we’re back in business!  I've held off making the announcement, but now that I'm getting closer to getting through the two year backlog, I'm ready to officially announce my reopening.

The Covid shutdown prevented me from doing the annual giveaway in January, so to celebrate our reopening, we’re doing it in July instead.

Go to https://civilwarrecords.com/pages/freefile to enter to win a FREE Civil War pension file for your ancestor at the National Archives!  I'll announce the winner on Saturday, July 2, so don't wait too long to enter.

As a reminder, we are on site at the National Archives in Washington DC, and provide a quicker and cheaper alternative to order your ancestors’ military records.  We specialize in records related to the Civil War, War of 1812, and federal land files there.  We go to DC so you don’t have to!

Good luck!

Brian
