Knowledge sharing cyberspace of EU VET programme partners in India

1–9 of 9

Welcome to the knowledge sharing space of EU VET programme partners in India

Knowledge sharing is an activity through which knowledge (i.e. information, skills, or expertise) is exchanged among people, or members of a community or an organization.  Development actors have recognized that knowledge constitutes a valuable asset for improving the effectiveness of development cooperation.   Knowledge sharing constitutes a major challenge in the field of knowledge management because some organizations tend to resist sharing their competitive advantage with other organizations that can compete with them in fund raising. At the same time knowledge sharing is an essential requisite for networking, advocacy and for policy coherence for development.

Indian NGOs implementing the EU funded VET programme have learned important lessons and have developed useful tools while implementing their activities on the ground. They now contribute to collecting, compiling, organizing and sharing knowledge and practices[1]

Knowledge sharing is an essential output of the programme activities and is a responsibility for each partner.

[1]  A Good Practice is an action proven to effectively and efficiently produce expected results.  In project management, “Good Practice” is a standardized and replicable method of performing an action that can be applied by departments/organizations, having analogous objectives, in order to achieve analogous results.
