And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allāh. They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying
[al-An‘ām 6:116]

O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allāh in what He commands them but do what they are commanded
[at-Tahrīm 66:6]

So flee to Allāh ...
[adh-Dhāriyāt 51:50]

... Only those fear Allāh, from among His servants, who have knowledge (al-‘Ulamā'). Indeed, Allāh is Exalted in Might and Forgiving
[Fāṭir 35:28]

... So ask the People of Knowledge (Ahl adh-Dhikr) if you do not know
[an-Nahl 16:43 & al-Anbiyā' 21:7]

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you. Until you visit the graveyards (i.e. until you die)

[at-Takāthur 102:1-2]

Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allāh and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion
[al-Hadīd 57:21]

... Rabbanā zidnā ‘ilman ... Allāhummā innā nas'aluka ‘ilman nāfi‘a, wa rizqan tayyiba, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbala
