Dear Colleagues,

I hope you are finding the different email groups created by the Computer Centre as per the guidance of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, useful and convenient.

 

The Computer Centre is now going to create an email group of all the PhD scholars of the University. At present contacting PhD scholars, communicating with them and passing on information that are relevant and apropos for them, is very difficult for the University and its departments especially the Academic Section which has the primary responsibility of handling their academic affairs. The intention of the Computer Centre is to first create a master group consisting of all PhD scholars of the university and then divide the same into faculty/department wise email groups of PhD scholars based on the need.

 

The cooperation of the faculty members who are supervisors of these scholars is very crucial. They are the only means through which the PhD scholars could be conveyed to provide details of their existing BHU email id and/or apply for one if they already do not have it. The procedure of registering is simple-

1.   The supervisors ask the PhD scholars to fill the form by forwarding the link https://mailreg.bhu.ac.in to the PhD scholars registered under them.

2.   The research scholars have to click the link and a page will open. Scholars are advised to first go through the instructions for filling the form. This they can get by clicking Manual given on the registration page. They should read the Manual carefully and then register themselves by clicking Register  

3.   A form will open asking for different information.

4.   All the PhD scholars (who have not submitted their thesis till date)  have to mandatorily fill the online form regardless of the fact that they are already having a bhu email id or not.

5.   After filling the form, they need to click the button REGISTER given at the bottom.

6.   They need to take a printout of the form, put their signature on the undertaking, and obtain the signature of the supervisor and head of the department and submit the form to the office of the department/centre.

7.   The Computer Centre after the closure of the last date (22-12-2025) will mail the list of research scholars who have filled the form to the head/coordinators of the concerned department/centre for verification. The verification could be done based on the forms earlier submitted by the scholars.

8.   The heads of department shall have to send a mail after verification to the Computer Centre mentioning the names of scholars who have registered themselves and who are Bonafide research scholars. They should not include the name of any research scholar who has already submitted his/her thesis. After receiving the head’s mail, the Computer Centre will create bhu email id for the scholars and the same will be visible to the scholars on the portal https://mailreg.bhu.ac.in.

9.       Last date for submitting the registration form online is 22nd December 2025.

I request the colleagues to kindly inform their PhD scholars for registering.
