Dear Sir/Madam,

As you are aware, the Government has approved the IndiaAI Mission with an objective to strengthen the AI ecosystem in the country. The key initiatives under the AI Mission include compute, foundation model, AIKosh Datasets Platform, Application Development, Skilling, Startup financing and building safe and trustworthy AI applications and models.

Under the IndiaAI FutureSkills pillar, one of the key objectives is to enhance India’s AI workforce readiness by nurturing the AI talent pipeline and encouraging them to research and innovate by undertaking AI-related projects in Undergraduate, Dual-Degree, Postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs via IndiaAI Fellowship scheme.

We are pleased to inform you that the applications to the IndiaAI Fellowship Portal is now available via an online portal at www.fellowship.indiaai.gov.in. This portal streamlines nominations and applications under the IndiaAI Mission’s Fellowship scheme, which has been active since last year. The portal significantly improves transparency, tracking, and ease of use for institutes and applicants alike.

For detailed eligibility criteria, please visit: IndiaAI Fellowship Eligibility Guidelines

Support required from your esteemed institute

  • Cascade to students across all departments; extend to Medicine, Liberal Arts, Humanities, Law, Commerce, and Business etc.

  • Publicize to students via institute email lists/portals, website notices, seminars/colloquia, and official social media.

We shall schedule a brief information session/webinar within the next two weeks. You will be receiving an invite soon.

We deeply value your institute’s leadership in advancing India’s AI ecosystem. Your timely support in cascading this information and encouraging high-quality applications—especially from interdisciplinary domains—will help broaden and strengthen our national AI talent pipeline.
