Prayer For My Love

 

 

I awake from a web of dreams

As your voice whispers to me

Hold me close my darling

In your arms I want to be.

 

Where your shield of love comforts

And the fear will slowly leave

Though I have shed a million tears

My wounded heart will grieve.

 

I lay in silent darkness

Your precious face so near

Yet deep within my hollow heart

Is a void that's filled with fear.

 

 

 

What can I do but say a prayer

As I've done both day and night

And pray for the time I will see you

And know that you're all right
