Vivekachudamani is a famous Sanskrit poem composed by Adi Shankaracharya, one of the greatest philosophers and teachers of Vedanta. The poem consists of 580 verses that expound the teachings of Advaita Vedanta, the non-dualistic school of Hindu philosophy. The title Vivekachudamani means "the crest-jewel of discrimination", which refers to the ability to discern the real from the unreal, the self from the not-self, and the eternal from the transient.
Swami Chinmayananda was a renowned spiritual leader and teacher of Vedanta who founded the Chinmaya Mission, a global organization dedicated to spreading the message of Vedanta. He was also a prolific writer and commentator who authored more than 95 books on various aspects of Hindu culture and philosophy.
