These days we do see 1000 new knols being posted. It is good for Knol.
More authors and more knols would mean more visitors to Knol. But most
of the authors are not specifying categories. All active knol authors
have to appeal to Knol authors in general to add categories to their
knols.
It will make browsing more easier for knol users. Knol authors are
missing visits to their knols due to lack of category specification
and Knol is also missing them.
Check on Knol Promotion Board http://knol.google.com/k/knol-promotion-board#
by clicking various category links for new knols edited and you will
find that only 50 knols have category specification from 1000+ knols
edited and posted today.
A campaign from many active authors on Knol Help page can improve
things.
