data-bind Text and calling function

Can I use K-MVC html helper to include a javascript function, such as th e following just being adding to an existing textbox:

data-bind="text : formatCurrency(subTotal())"

I looked over the documentation but didn't find anything I don't believe, it's somewhat confusing.
