Archaeology and Epigraphy of the Eastern Central Maya Lowlands
The first day (25.02) will be dedicated to the conference on the latest results of research on the Maya culture, which will be presented by the invited guests and archaeologists from the Department of the New World Archaeology JU:

Jarosław Źrałka & Wiesław Koszkul (Institute of Archaeology JU)
The two-day epigraphic workshops (26-27.02) will be taught in two levels:
- basic level: introduction to the theory of the Maya writing and work on the concrete monuments
- intermediate level: improving skills and work on the concrete monuments for the participants that have a basic knowledge of Maya hieroglyphic writing
Workshops will be taught by experienced tutors and authors of the Maya hieroglyphs workshop handbook: Christophe Helmke (University of Copenhagen), Harri Kettunen (University of Helsinki), Guido Krempel (University of Bonn), Sven Gronemeyer (Independent Scholar) and Sebastian Matteo (SAB, Brussels) .
Workshops will be taught in English.
Fee: 50 zł (Polish students), 20 € (foreign students)
