Dear Mumbere,

This year marks the 15th anniversary of U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Since its inception, the initiative has had a great impact on reducing the rates of mortality and new infections around the world. As a #YALICares participant, your awareness, advocacy, and actions can continue to reduce the infection rate as well as the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.

Nelly from Kenya is one of the 14 million people whose lives have been saved from the supplies and support provided by PEPFAR. We hope you’ll watch and share Nelly’s story to show others how she leads a fulfilling life despite being infected with HIV/AIDS.

It’s up to you to keep the spirit of #YALICares alive by looking for opportunities to educate community members by holding a #YALILearns event.

Sincerely,
Jen and the YALI Network Team

P.S. If you have organized an event focusing on HIV/AIDS in your community, share it with us for a chance to be highlighted on the YALI Network Facebook and Twitter pages.
