Dear Knights Fans,

Tonight is the night.

Tonight is the night that Knights fans return to the field to witness
second year veteran and all-time try scoring leader Luke Hume retake
the field, alongside long-time captain Gareth Baxendale, US
representatives Sean 'Babyface' Taylor, and Michael Cartwright, and
other veterans, as well as the new and untested. This year's group of
newbies include Columbia University standout Derek Lipscomb, as he
leads several of his Columbia teammates onto the field for the first
time to try on the Knights uniform. Other newcomers include Australian
Fitzy Adams, Ryan 'Seacrest' Armbrust from the Old Blue Super League,
and too many to name, all vying for the same 13 starting spots.

In fact, this year, you get twice the matches. First match against the
Boston 13's kicks off 8pm at Pier 40 (West Side Highway and West
Houston, nearest the 1 train), with a B-Side (think AAA in baseball
terms) kicking off at 9:30pm.

All signs point to a serious threat to the returning 2009 Champion
Knights posed by rival club Boston 13's, only in their second year of
existence. In their inaugural season, club president and Harvard
student Mik Shammas impressively lead his club to the playoffs;
unheard of for any team regardless of the sport. The 13's now seek to
maintain the momentum carried strong into the second half of their
season against the Knights tonight (the 13's were eliminated in the
semi-finals by the Jacksonville Axemen, who the Knights defeated in
the Grand Final), which carry a large red bulls eye painted on them as
they carry their championship trophy.

Keep an eye out for 13's Big Man Stefano Telavave, and club leader
George Aroyan. More information on the Thirteens in this great
article.

After the A and B Side matches, get ready to head over to the
Australian Bar & Grill on 38th between 5th and 6th, to drink and hang
out with your New York Knights.

Looking forward to seeing you there,
The Knights
