How to segregate and handover WET Waste

All There were some apartments that reached me on why their name is in Segregation Defaulters list. The reason was that their WET waste contained some milk packets, silver foil and sometime small glass/plastic bottles. Here are some rules to follow: 1. Pls ensure wet waste contains all bio waste(kitchen waste/ garden waste) and NO plastic or non bio item. 2. Use Paper bags to dispose WET waste - We have seen 60% of residents use PLASTIC bags, which will be a strict NO NO from going forward. - Paper bags are very easy to make, and can hold for 1-2 days if we double the paper before making it. - Aradhana from B1105 was kind enough to create a video and share with us. Please have a look in the video attached. - Also to get all residents accustomed to paper bags, we have arranged 300+ paper bags for distribution to residents. You are getting it from HK staff to use initially. Going forward, you need to make on your own. We are also checking feasibility of KARMA procuring it from outside, and residents can buy from KARMA. Will update on that soon. NOTE: From 29th AUG, HK will stop accepting WET WASTE in Poly Bags.
