There are also lots of things you can get for free (with rebate) if you watch the weekly ads. When we renovated our current house, we bought dozens and dozens of tubes of caulk free with rebate. If you are a renovater, you know how much paintable caulk you need. We STILL have a few tubes left, after numerous projects.
I love garage sales whether it is having one myself or going to someone elses. Over the years I watch for the add and when they have items that are free after the rebate or maybe 99 cents after the rebate I will pick them up. They make excellant items for the garage sale and many times I will make 2 or 3 dollars on the items depending what it is. I mark them about 1/2 of the everyday price at Menards and so my customers get a good deal also
My local menards closed. But I just love the 11% off sales. I take the mermards sale ad to home depot and they match it on the spot. Two months ago I purchased new windows for my house, I saved an extra $1,200 with that add. In few months a new menards is opening near me.
There was a Sunday in the winter when the 11% rebate on Everything (including gift cards) crossed over with the 14% bag sale, which also included gift cards, so you could get both discounts on anything that fit into the bag that day! That was THE day to shop, and buy a gift card!
I love your idea of having a spot by the door for the rebates. Sometimes I terrible at keeping track of those, which makes me sick to my stomach. This whole post is awesome. I need to be better at taking advantage of their deals!
When going to the Menards.com Rebate Center, entering the numbers, and clicking "Print and View Rebates," we are supposed to be able to key in our information: name, address, email... When trying to do this with Firefox, it would not let me key in the information, so I had to open Microsoft Edge, which did allow me to do this. I would appreciate it if this could be fixed in Firefox, because I prefer to use Firefox and would rather not have to open a different browser to complete such tasks.
After reading your response, I went back to the page that would not let me type into the document. When I reloaded the page, a bar appeared at the top saying, "This PDF has forms, the filling of forms is not supported." However, there was a button at the right on that bar that says, "Open with different viewer," which worked.

Also, the Menards class action notes that Menards intentionally and systematically fails to pay the 11 percent rebate to those who have followed the correct process of attempting to obtain the rebate.
I have been shopping Menards for Years and I have been fortunate to get every rebate paid out. Lucky me I guess. I think there are scammers out there who may try cheat the system and they are going to end up screwing it up for everyone. I would think if rebates become a hassle for Menards they will just do away without them.
I have sent Hundreds of dollars worth of rebates in and they pay for what they want to pay you. Now they are advertising rebate offers in their flyer but after you check out the cashier tells they have suspended rebates until after March but still advertise rebate offers in their flyers. This is against the FTC and so.eone needs to come down on these crooks hard!
