Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. This research-based program uses playful song and movement to help children learn to sing in tune, keep a beat and gain confidence in the music of their culture.

The Music Center is committed to helping ensure that all children have the ability to participate in musical activities. For Music Together there are three levels of pricing, which we ask you to self-select on your honor, based on the following income guidelines used by the Federal Free and Reduced School Lunch Program. When registering, you will be given the option to select which tier of financial aid your family qualifies for and pay the corresponding amount. Siblings in a family who are younger than 9 months may attend with other family members free of charge.

Community School of the Arts students and their immediate family members may attend many events at the Music Center for free that others pay admission to attend. Identify yourself or call the Goshen College Box Office ahead of the concerts to claim your free tickets. For a complete listing of CSA Family Pass concerts, click below.

Payment policy: A deposit of $50 is required to hold your spot in a Music Together class. Class fees must be paid IN FULL one week prior to the session start date. Contact the office if you need a payment plan. Class withdrawals made two or more weeks prior to the start of the session may receive a full refund. Withdrawals made less than two weeks before the session starts will be refunded the amount paid minus a $25 administrative fee. Tuition cannot be refunded after classes begin. You can view the complete payment policy online. Only two missed classes can be made up each session if space is available; arrangements to make up a missed class can be made with the class instructor.

Music Together Mixed Age classes are for children from birth through age 5 and their parent(s) or caregiver. The Music Together award-winning curriculum is used in a playful, developmentally appropriate environment that utilizes singing, moving, playing instruments, and making music in a fun 45-minute class. This type of music-making is shown to enhance higher-order thinking skills in our children, supporting all learning and providing an opportunity for children to attain basic music competence before learning an instrument.

The fee for the 10-week session Mixed Ages class is $195.00 for the first student, $120.00 for the second student; one sibling under 12 months old is free with paid tuition. You might have say 10 ids in the same page where the ids are used either by HTML or JavaScript. Those 10 might all need to use the same CSS and so you might use a class for that rather than listing all the ids (since you might use the same styles for multiple pages that have differing numbers of ids).

in that line of reasoning it becomes clear that you can code the ID with ONLY the rules specific to that specific element. and use classess for shared rules.
An additional benefit is ease of AJAX implementation. For the sake of example , let say you have a unique element on a page that you want to change color when someone checks a box in form on the page. if you had coded the color into the ID , you would need to use Javascript to change the .style of the element. if you change your mind about the look, or need the style to be different you would have to go back into the JS and code it again. On the other hand, if you had used an ID and classes, you could simply use JS to toggle the class to you content. If you needed it to be different on another page you alter the CLASS and not the JS. In short this aids separation of style and behaviour, which is just as important as separating style from content.

The Summer Rhythm Kids class will be offered again this summer at the same time as the mixed aged class. Therefore you can attend the parent/child class with your young children (birth to 5 years) and your older kids (4-8) can attend Rhythm Kids in the room next door.

New families will be charged a one time $15 Registration fee at checkout.

*ALL children attending classes need to be enrolled. Must be a sibling of the first child enrolled to take this fee.

Sometimes an older sibling (or unregistered sibling) needs to attend class with you. No problem! Our policy is that unregistered siblings may attend one class per session for free. A second visit is $20. If subsequent visits need to occur, please contact the office about enrolling your child in the full session (space pending).

*Infants 8 months and younger (by class start date) are free in the same mixed-age, in-person class with a registered sibling. However, we do like to have the infants noted on class rosters, so please register your baby! You will not be charged for your infant at check-out.

*The reduced sibling fee is for siblings only. It is not meant for cousins, nanny share situations, friends of an enrolled child, or others. Each family is asked to enroll their own children on their own account.

We are unable to refund tuition fees after the start of classes. Families are responsible for class attendance. An administrative fee of $25 will be deducted upon cancellations occurring prior to the start of the semester.

Two make-ups per family, per term are allowed on a space- available basis. Make-ups must be scheduled in advance and are available during the current session only. They do not roll over term to term. You can schedule these on the website (under "Enrolled Families") any time during the session.

Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful community, we have a limited scholarship fund. Scholarship applications are available for those families who want to make the commitment to providing rich musical development opportunities for their family but may be in financial need.

Fast forward two years after that online ceremony, and remarkably more than half of the Class of 2020 returned to campus to celebrate together. Since May 2020, some of us have earned graduate degrees, started careers, and some have married and welcomed future Belles into the world. Although our lives have gone in many directions, returning to campus felt like nothing changed.

Just as promised, The Avenue led us home for a joyous celebration. Our friends were reunited and campus bustled with that distinct graduation excitement. Because we had already said our hard goodbyes, this ceremony felt bigger than Commencement. It was a commemoration and a reunion all at once. Graduates stayed in Le Mans Hall, pushed beds together for a weekend sleepover, and were reintroduced to shower shoes and communal bathrooms. Of course we checked to see if our old dorm rooms were unlocked to sneak a peek, and we applauded the installation of air conditioning units and other renovations the campus had seen in the past two years.
