Kafka Broker - scaling consumers

Hi Knative Users,

I have installed the Kafka-Broker and have a question relating to how consumers scale. From my understanding of Kafka consumers, when multiple consumers are subscribed to a topic and belong to the same consumer group, each consumer in the group will receive messages from a different subset of the partitions in the topic. Is this type of parallelism possible with the current kafka broker implementation?  It appears that the kafka broker dispatcher will create consumers using the uid of the triggers which reference its broker. Will it create additional consumers if the triggers subscriber scales up?
