Updating default domain to `svc.cluster.local`

Dear Knative community,

We're currently planning to update the default domain in Knative Serving v1.8 (currently scheduled for early October) to the cluster domain suffix `svc.cluster.local`.

We don't anticipate that this will cause any major impact (the previous value, `example.com`, would have needed to be changed anyways), but if anyone has any objections or concerns, please let us know by commenting on the issue by September 23.
